OK…we’ve started our photo contest! We’re ready to do our part by taking your pics and turning them into a viral video that we’ll release shortly after the contest is over (we’ll be running the contest from today to December 5). We are hoping that the viral video will make a passionate statement for passage of the DREAM Act…to let Congress and the American people know why it’s so important!
So now we need YOU to do YOUR PART! Submit a creative photo of yourself, your friend(s) or family holding up a sign in front of a recognizable geographic location (close to where you live) that reads “I want the US Congress to pass the DREAM Act because (and finish the rest of the sentence by telling us your reason).” You can be holding a sign, or you can etch it on sand, or spell it out on a series of t-shirts…get creative, get crazy, get passionate…all we’ve given you are these two criteria…the rest is up to you! The more varied the pics we get, the better the contest and the better the end result…just don’t do anything dangerous or that will get you in trouble, right? 🙂
After you submit your pic, rally your friends and family to vote for it…the top twenty pics will be winners and will be selected for the viral video. They will also ultimately become a part of the documentary when we release it by mid next year (we’ll let you know more about dates as we get closer).
So help us spread the word about this important issue by participating in the contest and then getting as many people as you can to vote.
